  2. Whilst I respect you opinion, Martin Prado has been, and always will be, a grinder. Grinders are hard nosed players that play every day and often hit for high averages. Unfortunately for Martin Prado, he lacks the power and the speed to be anything but an average hitter. I ranked Prado below the three given because of these reasons:

Ben Zobrist-versatile player, can play outfield, first and second base(primarily used at second). He has decent pop and a good swing. Injuries can decimate a fantasy team (a la, anyone who owned Red Sox players last season) and having someone as versatile as Zobrist is incredibly useful. Whereas Martin Prado is only going to qualify at third base in 2011 because of the Dan Uggla trade.

Aaron Hill- lets put him in perspective. He is somewhere between his 2009 and 2010 seasons. He is not a career .198 hitter. Nor is he a career .286 hitter. He is a career .270 hitter, and his big league averages over 162 games are as follows:

    84-19-76-5-.280
    (R,HR,RBI,SB,AVG)

Hill's BABIP (batting average on balls in play) in 2010 was a paltry .196. .196! Thats even lower than Alex Cora's! his career average is.288, and if he is anywhere near that next season, his average should climb to the .270 range again. And as incredibly hard as it is to find power out of second baseman, Hill is one of the rare few that can possibly deliver 20-25 next season.
